Recall Mode

The Recall mode enables the KHE to automatically load the amp/cab combination that was activated before the last power-off during the next power-up. This feature can be useful, for instance, during studio sessions or if you always use the same load. Additionally, it is useful when using an active tube attenuator like the Fryette PS. It ensures a load is always activated on power-up without even thinking about it.

With Recall Mode activated, the KHE will remember the amp and cab that were active when it was shut down. Make sure to power-off the activated amp first before shutting down the KHE!

Activating Recall Mode

By default, the Recall Mode is deactivated. It is activated in the KHE’s System Menu:

  1. Enter the System Menu by pressing the KHE CTRL button for 3 seconds, then release it. The CTRL light starts to blink 1x, indicating “Page 1 - System Functions” is active. “Page 2 - MIDI Menu” would have 2x blinks of the CTRL light. To flip the menu page, short-press the CTRL button. The Recall Mode control is on “Page 1 - System Functions”.

  2. Press Switch AMP 1 to activate the Recall Mode in the System Menu. To deactivate it, simply press switch AMP 1 again.

  3. Exit and save the System Menu by pressing the CTRL button again for 3 seconds, then releasing it. The CTRL turns red (or green if linked) and the switcher is back in normal switching operation. All settings are saved and will be automatically loaded on the next power-up.

As a safety feature, the KHE checks and measures whether the load or speakers are still connected before activating the amp and cab during power-up. If, for any reason, the load becomes disconnected, the amp and load will not be activated for safety reasons. Learn more: ACS Safety Functions (coming soon)

The Recall Mode is not available with linked KHE switchers and will be automatically deactivated.
